Who I Am

I bounce around quiet a bit. Right now I’m in Pittsburgh, but any given day, I could be in DC, New York, Boston, or somewhere completely unplanned.

If I could live anywhere today, it would be Paris. But I’d like to transport all my friends there with me.

I firmly believe every woman should own a pair of red high heels, and that she will never feel sexier than when she is wearing them.

I once refused to give a guy my number because he was a Flyers fan.

I also once kissed a Flyers fan. I didn’t self-combust.

I could probably eat Thai food everyday for the rest of my life.

But I want my last meal on earth to be a really, really good basket of Buffalo chicken wings.

In my life, I want to publish a book, learn to play the guitar, and set foot on all seven continents.

I once was married, and now I’m not. I’m now the most cynical hopeless romantic you’ll ever meet.

This is why I’m here.

This is my place on the internet. This is where I’ll tell you about the terrible dates I go on, the guys who break my heart, the struggles of being single and living in New York, and, hopefully, how I meet my Ted Mosby.

  1. Also stumbled across It’s Your World, I’m Living In It and then followed it to here! Nice blog, had to follow :) you remind me quite a lot of a friend who is also trying the online dating scene and getting some very odd results!

    • Thanks! It’s definitely an interesting world, I’m still getting used to it. As long as it provides some good stories, I’m ok with the oddballs. :)

  2. I just read from the TV Boyfriend bracket to the beginning of your blog (seriously grateful it’s pretty new though, because I’m really procrastinating on other work right now!). Can’t even tell you how much I related to what you’ve written so far- particularly the online dating entry. It really is a mind-blowing-ly ridiculous experience, but I, myself, also took the leap because … you can’t knock it til you try it? Or something like that. At the very least it’s been a lot of good laughs so far. Best of luck to you though, I’ll be looking forward to hearing your stories!

  4. Where have you been all my life? New York transplant, from Pittsburgh (not born there, although I did give birth to my son there… does that count)? And I totally agree about Queens is for Beer Gardens. Love your blog.
